Richard Bradford is Professor of English and Senior Distinguished Research Fellow at Ulster University. He is the author of six highly acclaimed literary biographies The Life of a Long-Distance Writer: A Biography of Alan Sillitoe, First Boredom, Then Fear: The Life of Philip Larkin and Lucky Him: The Life of Kingsley Amis, Martin Amis: The Biography, The Man Who Wasn’t there: A Life of Ernest Hemingway and Orwell: A Man of Our Times.
